It is inadvisable that the boundary pillars should be set out until the road is actually completed for the reason that it is most probable, that either black expense, or to improve the gradient or alignment of the road, it may be absolutely necessary to diverge slightly from the route at present roughly laid down.
In the event of the Boundary Pillars being fixed before the road is made, any divergence, however small, would be impossible and very great additional expense might be incurred and as, to date the road has not been laid out, it would appear unreasonable to regard a transfer, or cession to have been effected, when the extent and position of the land...
